March 9th

     We all sleep in today.  Fresh and renewed, we find breakfast on our way to the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay.  This was pricy, but really cool.  Our favorite was the glass tunnel where you can walk under the fish tank with sharks, sawfish, turtles and all kinds of weird (parrot fish look like they are buck toothed - we got a laugh outta them) and colorful fish.  

     We also take in Gamesworks which is an arcade for children of all ages. Lunch was at the Rainforrest restauran in the MGM Grand Hotel which was complete with waterfalls, thunder and lighting, and I must say-really great food. MGM also has a Lion exhibit with glass tunnels and walkways so you can look up at the lions and they look down at you.  I am glad the glass was there, otherwise they would have enjoyed my rainforrest lunch and me!

    

  We visit the Coke store as that is Lucas’ favorite beverage of choice, and then head down to the Mirage to see the Sigfried and Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin habitat. Little did we know that they only sell tickets for admission until 5:00 pm for the latest tour at 5:30.  We arrived at 5:32!  This is probably the only show here that ends early.  The most disappointing thing though was that it was a terribly long walk on already sore feet and tired backs.  We sooth our disappointment with what else....? a sugar high, and are ready to head back to our hotel- took a cab cuz even in a sugar high, we just couldn’t face walking all the way back.

     Well, the only thing that happend in Vegas & won’t be staying in Vegas is our sore feet, shins and backs.  We plan to take them with us as we are better off with them sore than not at all!  The thing that will be staying in Vegas... No secrets - just money.
